History

The International Academy of Ecology and Medicine is an MBBS University in Ukraine, established in the city of Kiev. The motive behind the founding of the University was to provide a superior European standard education to the students of Ukraine and develop specialists in the health industry. The university follows the education pattern as per the legislation of Ukraine and international treaties of the Parliament of Ukraine. The Academy also follows the guideline of European Credit Transfer System, this helps the graduated students to successfully apply and move for higher education accepted in other Medical universities in Europe or Medical Universities in Ukraine.

International Academy of Ecology and Medicine follows the guideline provided by the government and is accredited by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

The Academy has been successfully imparting education to students and also has developed many new scientific developments in the field of Medicine with the help of their scientific research facility. There are four faculties under the academy which are Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Premedical Course. The International Academy of Ecology and Medicine has developed relations with many other institutions and have collaborated with many foreign countries for training physicians and new development in medical researches. Anthroposophic medicine department of the Academy is the only sole department in any University in Ukraine; it works with the Center of Anthroposophic Medicine in Switzerland very closely. In the Center of Diabetic Foot present in the city of Kiev, the academy conducts the study of endocrine surgery. Other National and International organisations with whom the Academy is associated with are the Mc Master University (Canada), Thrombosis Research Institute (England), Timit Group (USA), Association of Cardiologists of Ukraine, National Science Center of Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology (Ukraine) and Kyiv City Heart Center (Ukraine).

The academy favours the admission of foreign students to study MBBS in Ukraine, due to this the academy sees the maximum number of enrollment of foreign students in the Academy. There are more than foreign students studying in the academy from over 60 countries in the world. More over it is also one of the most favoured destinations for foreign students as it recognised by more than 180 countries and some major institutions like WHO, Medical Council of Bangalore, International Association of Universities, FAIMER, European University Association & Medical Council. International Academy of Ecology and Medicine provides the education in the English language also and follows the Bologna Process and European Credit Transfer Scheme (ECTS) hence the degree from the academy is valid throughout Europe. To provide a good attention to each student, generally, the academy keeps the class size between 8-10 students. There are around 12 hospitals associated with the academy with more than 2500 beds. These are used for treatment and training purposes by the academy.

The academy tends to involve the students in many research works related to medicine and medical treatments. They focus majorly on the relation of environmental changes and states over the human diseases, many studies are being conducted on the matter. Students in the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine get an ample opportunity to visit and interact with other students and scientists in the scientific conferences.

Academy is equipped with great infrastructure to provide better education, this includes lecture halls, library, computer labs and reading rooms etc. For recreational activities, sports complex is available in the campus with the gym as well. Moreover, many cultural events and parties are conducted on the campus for students to feel like home and are able to interact with fellow students and teachers in a better way.

Students from Ukraine and other nations are offered best health care services in the university campus itself. Many preventive diseases vaccinations are given to students free of cost in their medical clinics. More over eyesight testing is also done free of cost. Every student studying in the academy is fully medically insured and the university covers all treatments, preventive care, operations, medical examinations and medications of the student when required. There is a special council called The Technical Council for Medical Affairs for this purpose.

The Student Clinic is situated near to the Academy campus which serves the other patients also from the city, every student is given a free medical checkup at the beginning of each academic year.

There is a sports complex in the campus having the following features

• Indoor sports like basketball, football, volleyball and table tennis and lawn tennis.
• A Sports hall for Athletics, fitness and aerobics
• Other sports options available are chess, karate, swimming etc.
