History

Dr Pokanevich Valeriy founded the Kyiv Medical University of UAFM in the year 1992. Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has given the university highest level of accreditation of Level IV. More than 10000 doctors have graduated from the university till now in various speciality courses of General Medicine, Pharmacists and Dentistry. The degree and education provided by the Kyiv National Medical University UAFM are being accepted worldwide with every private or government organisation. Due to this reason, many international students also visit the MBBS University in Ukraine to study and shape their career. Till now more than 1000 foreign students have already graduated from the university

Kyiv Medical University UAFM has been making some great efforts in making new collaboration with many renowned organisations of the world. These collaborations are done for joint research in some major scientific researches and other medical development programs. Some major collaborations are with Center for Control and Prophylaxis of diseases of Department of health protection (CDC, USA), The Poland Medical Academy, The Southern Kazakhstan Scientific and Practical Conference and other USSR and other countries of the world.

International Medical Education Directory (IMED), Medical Council of Canada, and ECFMG (Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates has also recognised the Kyiv National Medical University UAFM, the students from the university are eligible to work in Canada and USA. This gives an immense opportunity to foreign students to get a job in the USA also.

Other than above the Kyiv Medical University UAFM is also accredited by WHO, AVICENNA directory of University of Copenhagen, WFME (World Federation for Medical Education), General Medical Council of UK, Ghana Dental and Medical Council, Nigerian Dental and Medical Council, Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, European Council of Medicine and Medical Council of Bangalore.

More than 160 teaching staffs having experience and expertise in their specialised fields have been employed by the university, the teaching staff includes more than 35 doctors of medicines, around 100 associate professors, honoured doctors of Ukraine and scientists and specialists.

University provides the hostel facility to students very close to its campus area. Hostels provided by the university are equipped with comfortable beds and mattresses, geyser, cleaning services etc. These hostels are also well connected to Super Markets and Metro. So all required necessary items may be purchased from next to hostel markets.

Other facilities that are available in the hostel are the cafeteria, Reading room with the internet, Laundry facility, assembly hall, separate showers for male and female students, kitchen and wash rooms. It is entirely safe to stay in the Hostel as there is round the clock security service hired by the University for the Hostel.
